Information about the Store:
The Upper Cumberworth Village Store is a small family owned
independant business which includes a newsagency and Post Office. We
sell all your household essentials and food including Fresh Fruit and
Vegetables.
We make our own homemade cakes and scones and our fresh meat pies are
locally produced. We also roast our own local ham and beef. The shop
has a daily fresh supply of bread from the bakery in Denby Dale and we
make hot and cold sandwiches throughout the day.
The Store has a good selection of cards and stationery and a small
selection of childrens toys and Art supplies.
We have the benefit of a discounted Dry Cleaning, Laundry and Shoe
repair service which picks up on a Tuesday and Thursday lunch time,
with a 2 day turnaround time for Dry Cleaning.
Outside the shop there is a village notice board where advertisements
can be placed in return for a small donation to the local primary
school.
Over the past year we have built a Picture Framing Workshop in the
basement of the Store which makes high quality made to measure mounts
and frames, a selection of mouldings are displayed within the store and
we have happy to give no obligation quotations for framing.
